The vacuum feedthrough is an adaptor for fibre optics. It can be mounted on vacuum chambers and enables the use of a pyrometer’s optics inside a vacuum while the pyrometer itself is located in the normal atmosphere.
The feedthrough is available in three versions to suit the different IMPAC fibre optics types. There are:
- 0.2 mm fibre optics (with red fibre mark)
- 0.4 mm fibre optics (with blue fibre mark)
- 0.6 mm fibre optics (with green fibre mark)
The vacuum feedthroughs are equipped with DIN connectors on both sides. Consequently the following fibre optics can be connected:
In the vacuum: Fibre optics with DIN connector for connection to the vacuum feedthrough and
FSMA connector for connection to the optics
In the atmosphere: Fibre optics with DIN connector for connection to the vacuum feedthrough and DIN connector for connection to the pyrometers of Series:
ISR 12-LO, IGA 12-LO,
IS 50-LO plus, IGA 50-LO plus,
IP 140-LO
respectively
